Sand mining in Bream Bay not the way

The forty-one candidates in this year’s Whangarei District Council local elections were asked whether they support or oppose marine sand mining in Te Akau Bream Bay, and to explain their reasons.

My stance is clear. I stand against and say no to sand mining. The Fast Track consent reeks of cronyism and skullduggery and we should not be hoodwinked by it.
